Film Screening - Jungles in Paris

The Explorers Club cordially invites you to an evening of exploratory filmmaking with Jungles in Paris. Join this pioneering multimedia website’s founders — and Explorers Club members — Darrell and Oliver Hartman for a screening of short documentaries about the natural world and traditional cultures. Event will include brief filmmaker discussions and a special presentation of a short documentary collaboration with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.

Hailed by The Guardian as one of the best independent travel publications, Jungles in Paris is a website and media company specializing in documentary storytelling on craft, culture, geography, and wildlife. The company works with an international team of contributors to produce and present “gorgeous collection of photo and film documentaries” (Fast Company) – and in doing so demonstrate to digital era audiences that “no matter how varied life might be in different parts of the world, we all share a common bond as human beings” (India Times).

Oliver Hartman is a filmmaker and co-founder of Jungles in Paris. His short documentaries have been featured on the websites of The Smithsonian, Outside, and Africa Geographic. Darrell Hartman, a freelance writer, is editor and co-founder of Jungles in Paris. His articles on exploration and adventure travel have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Daily Beast, and other outlets.
