US National Park Service Water Quality Specialist, Dr. Mark Ringenary, will focus on the chemical evaluation and water quality monitoring program of our fresh and salt water ecosystems. This lecture will help promote how we can minimize our impact on the contamination of national water resources in order to ensure the public's health and the safety of our bathing beaches.
Dr. Ringenary has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Environmental Health Science from Polytechnic University. He also minored in hydrology and biochemistry, and his doctoral research centered around the development of a multi-generational bioassay toxicity test methodology for the evaluation of sediment contamination.
