Special Event - New Explorer Award Winner Ian Mangiardi at Fjällräven SOHO

Explorers Club Member Ian Mangiardi – a trained Wilderness-EMT, chef, writer, and producer – has lived his life with the goal to bring people outdoors safely and comfortable so they may enjoy, and in turn, protect our wild spaces. In 2009, he started a non-profit organization: The Dusty Camel, a company that consults on expedition planning at all levels.

Most recently, led by the Hong Kong Chapter of the Explorers Club, he worked to orchestrate a three-week scientific expedition across the Gobi Desert using multi-spectral imaging and drone technologies in collaboration with the Institute of Paleontology and Geology to lay the foundation for the next generation of Paleontology in Mongolia. Ian is on a journey to continue his path of exploration, and grow his passion to learn, innovate, share and lead.

Ian is the recipient of our 2019 New Explorer Award, and will also be giving the Explorers Club Public Lecture on Monday, March 18, in case you miss him in store!

This event is FREE and open to the public, with no reservations required, 7:00 pm at Fjällräven SOHO.
