Mental Floss features 11 Awesome Things You Can See At The Explorers Club

Mental Floss’ Hannah Keyser has recently released a profile of 11 Awesome Things You Can See At The Explorers Club. In coordination with the Club’s new Archivist Lacey Flint, Keyser offers full imagery and accompanying back stories on some of the Club’s most interesting artifacts. These include the bell from the USS Cutter Bear which rescued Greely’s surviving crew in the summer of 1884, the mittens worn by Matthew Henson during his 1909 expedition with Peary to the North Pole, a first edition copy of Description de l’Égypte from Napoleon’s expedition to Egypt, and many more.
