The Explorers Club Announces Adventure Canada & Kensington Tours as Official Travel Partners

Today, The Explorers Club has forged official travel partnerships with Arctic expedition cruise company Adventure Canada, and worldwide travel leader Kensington Tours. Together, the partners will provide The Explorers Club’s international membership with exceptional travel experiences in the world’s most remote, wild, and riveting places.

“We are thrilled to have Adventure Canada and Kensington Tours join the Club as our official travel partners” says Ted Janulis, President of The Explorers Club. “Both companies are at the forefront of experiential travel and directly align with the Club’s foundational ideal—that it is vital to preserve and foster our instinct to explore.”

“We’ve always been inspired by The Explorers Club’s pursuit of science and extraordinary achievements in exploration,” says Adventure Canada CEO Cedar Swan. “As the Club’s official travel partner, we endeavor to elevate their century-long history of purposeful research and shared learning through travel. Our style of expedition travel, combined with the Club’s remarkable roster of members, makes for an ideal partnership that will continue to create unparalleled travel experiences.”

Many Adventure Canada staff are Explorers Club members, including Expedition Leaders Matthew James Swan and Jason Edmunds, CEO Cedar Swan, and Vice President of Marketing and Product, Clayton Anderson.

The Explorers Club has partnered with Adventure Canada for several years. This past July, the two organizations launched the Adventure Canada Young Explorers Program, part of their Scientist-in-Residence initiative, which gives participants between the ages of 18–30 the opportunity to gather knowledge about the Arctic while on board an Adventure Canada expedition, and ultimately contribute to the world’s greater understanding of the region through their research.

Kensington Tours’ affiliation with The Explorers Club is well established. For several years, the award-winning private guided travel company has hosted the Canadian Chapter of The Explorers Club at its Toronto location. Kensington Tours founder and CEO Jeff Willner is an active Explorers Club member.

“Kensington Tours has been a proud supporter of The Explorers Club for numerous years and as the Club’s new official travel partner, our deep destination knowledge will further scientific exploration of land and sea,” says Kensington Tours President Alison Hickey. “Aspirational, inspirational, experiential and educational travel experiences – such as those undertaken by Explorers Club members – have been the cornerstones of Kensington Tours’ success.”

In 2017, Kensington Tours will launch an exclusive collection of Explorers Club Branded Experiences. Hosted by Explorers Club members around the globe, these experiences will provide travelers with privileged access, special presentations, story-telling and other unique experiences in the world’s most extraordinary destinations.
